VENTURA KEYS and VENTURA HARBOR

Thirty miles south of Santa Barbara and adjacent to the Ventura Harbor is the Ventura Keys community.  Prior to 1964, the harbor and the Ventura Keys area was farmland divided by a landing strip. Assembled in the thirties, the 2,200 foot long dirt landing strip was named Ventura Airpark.  Later the landing strip was partially paved and gained official designation as an airport in 1947 named Ventura Airpark.

Today the community is an upscale family neighborhood with a mixture of condos (169), single family residences with medium to larger sized yards (534) and duplexes (126), all within walking distance to the highly rated Pierpont Elementary School.  The Ventura Keys are in high demand as a result of the 300 homes with boat docks and easy access to the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands.
